Background: My name is Jennifer Scott, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (R.D.N.), Licensed Dietitian (L.D.). I have a passion for nutrition and love to empower people with the knowledge and guidance needed to better nourish themselves. I graduated from Arizona State University, Summa Cum Laude, with a B.S. in Nutrition in 2003 and completed my dietetic internship at the University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona in 2004.
Experience: I have been a registered dietitian for 15 years. I have spent 8 of those years working as a clinical dietitian, and the remaining 7 outside of the hospital, focused on raising kids while expanding my knowledge of sports and performance nutrition, intuitive eating, and topics such as inflammation, I have worked with clients throughout that time as well helping guide them through things from gestational diabetes to fueling themselves for a marathon. I am also a long distance runner (I've run 14 marathons (including Boston), over 30 half-marathons, many 15ks, 10ks and 5ks), wife, and mom of 3. I believe that my professional background and personal life give me the experience and understanding I need to assist you with changing or enhancing your diet to meet your desired goals.
Philosophy: If you are looking for quick and rapid weight loss then I am NOT your gal. However, if you are looking for help in making lasting changes to your diet and eating habits, focusing on a healthy relationship with food, properly fueling your body for activities, or just help choosing more nourishing meals for your family, then you are in the right place.
